C.S.I Dubai SKD, the first overseas church of South Kerala Diocese, had its humble beginning in the year 2006 aiming to provide the spiritual needs and pastoral care for the Malayalam speaking community of South Kerala Diocese living in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaima. The members of CSI South Kerala Diocese met on 16th April 2006 resulting in the formation of a Church in Dubai.
Later, on 5th July 2009 the members of CSI Dubai SKD met at the residence of Mr. Chrispen Justus (one of the founder members) and decided to recommence the weekly worship. The first service was conducted by Rev. E. Sunin Spenzer from South Kerala Diocese, who was then the presbyter of CSI Tamil congregation Al Ain. He continued to provide pastoral care and leadership for this church until the appointment of a permanent Presbyter. Most Rev. Dr. J. W. Gladstone, the then Moderator of the CSI, blessed the communion service on 9th October 2009. Regular weekly worships were held in Karama Centre Hall and Indian Academy School, Al Qusais. On 3rd May 2012 the CSI Dubai SKD moved to its permanent worship place in the Holy Trinity Church, Karama. The church is currently under the direct guidance and governance of the bishop of CSI South Kerala Diocese.Currently, regular worship services are conducted on Saturdays at 9.00 PM at Holy Trinity Church Al Karama, Dubai. The Church follows the liturgy, music and spiritual traditions of the South Kerela Diocese.
